From Turin to the Langhe: the story of our family
In 2019, Giuseppe and Claudia left their corporate careers to build a slower, more personal life for their family at Tenuta MonteOliveto in Vesime, Alta Langa.
A new life among the hills
Tenuta MonteOliveto is not just a place to stay. It is the result of a family decision: exchanging the rush of city life for the vineyards, woods and open skies of the Langhe.
The decision to change
Before Tenuta MonteOliveto, Giuseppe and Claudia lived in Turin and held high-responsibility positions in different companies. They were successful, but their days were filled with travel, deadlines and too little time for the people who mattered most.
In 2019, looking at their two young sons, Michele and Gabriele, they made a brave decision: to leave the corporate world and build a future together, surrounded by nature.

A home, not just a hotel
Renovating the four cottages was a careful process. We wanted to preserve their rustic character while adding the comfort, warmth and personal touch of a real home.
The historic stable became our intimate dining room. We restored the original stone manger and furnished the space with family heirlooms, including the piano Giuseppe grew up with. Today, it is a place for sharing food, stories and the simple pleasure of being together.
That balance between authenticity and comfort is still at the heart of the Tenuta: independent cottages, vineyard views, a panoramic pool for resident guests and direct contact with the family who lives here.

Why MonteOliveto?
We fell in love with this estate the moment we drove through its gates. It had another name at the time, but we felt it needed an identity that reflected the history and character of the land.
We chose the name Tenuta MonteOliveto as a tribute to the geography and history of this place. The estate borders a majestic calanco, a steep clay cliff historically known as MonteOliveto.
Ancient records suggest that this sunny slope was once dedicated to olive cultivation. Today, the name honours that agricultural tradition and the landscape that surrounds our home.
The next generation
Tenuta MonteOliveto is now a true family affair. During the year, Michele and Gabriele focus on their studies; in summer, you may find them working alongside us and welcoming guests with a smile.
They have grown up breathing the air of the Langhe and are part of the story we are building here. We hope that, one day, they will choose to continue the tradition of hospitality and care that began with our change of life.
